Tales and legends in Salanfe

But what is this beast known as the “Ouivre” that frightened men so much that three men were sentenced to death to get rid of it? And what about the ‘damned of the region’ who ‘from the top of their cold domain, where they can sometimes be seen at night or during storms,’ ‘occasionally roll rocks and avalanches’ from the Dents du Midi glacier?

Storyteller Fabienne Monnay Daves will tell you tales and legends under the starry Salanfe sky after dinner at the inn.

Programme

• Free ascent from the Van d'en Haut car park.
• 7pm: convivial meal at the Auberge de Salanfe in a warm atmosphere.
• 9pm: storytelling and legends, outside under the stars (or inside the Auberge in case of bad weather).

Practical information

• Open to all, families welcome! Prior registration required.
• Free participation: a hat will be available for your contributions.
• When booking your stay online, please mention ‘tales and legends’ in the Remarks box.
• All participants must be suitably equipped: sturdy mountain boots and warm clothing are essential.
• This activity will take place indoors in case of bad weather.
